My research agenda is built around questions of the ecological impacts from different environemental policy actions. I am particularly interested in how quality of natural resources and diverse species - valued for conservation efforts and human recreation - respond to environmental change induced by infrastructure investments and legislation. Using quantitative methods from causal inference and rich ecological and landuse data, I aim to better understand how these induced ecosystem responses can inform conservation strategies and infrastructure planning.
